Cives Steel Plans New Facility In El Mirage

[El Mirage, AZ March 15, 2019] - Cives Steel Company announced a purchase of 25 acres at CenterPoint Logistics Park in El Mirage for their 8th North American facility. Phase one of the Cives plant will include a 50,000 square-foot facility that will employ 50 employees and will open in the fall of 2019. Phase two of the project, will expand the facility to a 100,000-square-foot building and will employ a total of 100 employees. Further, a new Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) rail line will provide service to this site and future developments.

With seven existing fabrication plants across the United States, the plant in El Mirage will serve the southwest region. Cives Steel is one of the largest and most successful steel fabricators in North America. The company has over 60 years of business experience and selected the location in El Mirage due to workforce and land availability, and access to rail services.

Known for their work in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)-certified projects, the company has provided structural steel on dozens of LEED certified projects throughout the country.

Mayor Alexis Hermosillo stated, “El Mirage is thrilled to welcome Cives Steel to our community! El Mirage Council and Staff have worked hard with our partners at JFL Properties, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, CBRE, APS and NOVO Development to make this project a reality. Cives Steel is an amazing partner and we are extremely grateful that they will call El Mirage home. This is the beginning of development at the CenterPoint Logistics Park.”
